Amidst the challenges surrounding the tragic passing of the renowned Nigerian musician, Mohbad, the Elegushi Royal Family has officially disassociated itself from the socialite, Sam Larry.
This decision comes in the wake of a resurrected petition for the protection of life, originally filed by the late Mohbad. He had reported harassment during a video shoot allegedly involving Sam Larry.
In response to the public outcry concerning Sam Larry and his alleged connections with the Elegushi family, the monarch’s family has issued a statement to set the record straight. They have vehemently denied any association between Sam Larry and their family.
The statement emphasizes that any claims of Sam Larry having affiliations with the king, whether as a family member or employee, are entirely false. This clarification aims to dispel any misconceptions or speculations surrounding the matter.
“Sam Larry; Samson Balogun is not a member of the royal family and does not work for the royal family or king in any capacity. Like other celebrities, politicians, religious and community leaders, he visits the palace to pay homage to the king and seek royal blessings just like other members of the public,” the statement reads in part.
