Mohbad: FG asked to freeze Naira Marley, Sam Larry’s bank accounts

A human rights advocacy group, Save the Poor and Needy Charity Initiative (SPANCI), has called on the Federal Government and security agencies to confiscate properties and freeze bank accounts belonging to Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Samson Erinfolabi Balogun, also known as Sam Larry.

The call is in connection to allegations that they were involved in the death of Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. The group also urged the government to declare Naira Marley and Sam Larry as wanted individuals.

Mohbad, a rising artist, passed away last week under questionable circumstances, prompting demands for justice and investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

President of the Save the Poor and Needy Charity Initiative, Comrade Yemi Bello, conveyed these demands in a statement released to DAILY POST on Friday. He emphasized the need for swift government action, particularly concerning Sam Larry, alleged to be currently residing outside of Nigeria, who reportedly made threats against Iyabo Ojo, a Nollywood actress advocating for justice in Mohbad’s case.

“We want the federal government to confiscate their properties and freeze their bank accounts and investigate their source of money and wealth. We want them to be immediately declared as wanted individuals. Additionally, we call upon the government of the countries where they are alleged to be residing to deport them immediately to ensure a fair investigation and to prove their innocence,” Comrade Yemi Bello stated.
