The 36-year-old was just embarrassed by the Swedish activist when he got much worse news: he was arrested in the country where he lives.
According to the Romanian news site Libertatea, the house of the two men was searched on December 29, 2022, because two girls had been taken.
StechiteGist says that the raid was done by Bucharest’s DII, which stands for the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism.

The Romanian news site Libertatea said on December 29 that Romanian police had searched the Pipera home of Andrew Tate in connection with the kidnapping of two girls.
Tristan Tate’s brother, Andrew Tate, has also been arrested. Reports say that the raid was done by DIICOT, which is the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism in Bucharest.

History of arrests for Andrew Tate
The Romanian Police searched Andrew’s home in Bucharest on April 11, 2022, after hearing that a woman from the United States would be held there. After asking him some questions, they let him go. Andrew has denied all of the accusations against him, saying that he is innocent. He said that the whole thing was an example of swatting trolls with false reports.
Andrew Tate, who is often called the “master of toxic masculinity,” has said in several interviews that he attacked and insulted women. He also admitted that he moved to Romania because assault laws were less strict there.
Andrew was sent to Romania early in 2017 after he was accused of abusing a woman in the UK, but not before he was locked up for two days.
