I Go Dye dragged to court over alleged breach of contract

Akinlolu Jekins & Company Ltd, an entertainment firm, has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against comedian Francis Agoda aka I Go Dye in the Lagos High Court in Ikeja, presided over by Justice A.M.Lawal.

The claimant stated in the statement of claim that it hired the comedian acting under the name Style Seaside Entertainment Ltd in December 2017 for a performance at a concert scheduled for May 20, 2018 in London, United Kingdom.

The claimant also stated that I Go Dye was paid £3,000 for his performance.

The firm further claimed that the defendant broke the agreement by playing in London on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2018, in violation of the agreement that he not appear at any other concert before the May 20, 2018 show.

The company claimed to have paid for television commercials, billboard advertisements, leaflets, web advertisements, venue reservations, staff housing, holding deposits, aircraft tickets, and visas, among other things.

According to the claimant, I Go Dye did not promote the event on his social media accounts, and he stopped responding to its phone calls and text messages.
