A staff member of Globus Bank, Amarachi Ugochukwu, aged 32, has been found dead in one of the toilets of the bank’s Ikorodu branch. The incident took place on Monday, January 8, 2024.

Amarachi was a marketing staff member at the bank.

The Incident

The staff member, Amarachi Ugochukwu, was discovered to have gone missing from her desk, which was unusual.


A search party was conducted, and her lifeless body was eventually discovered in one of the toilets of the bank with a bottle of Snipper insecticide beside her.


The bottle was broken, and it appeared as if she had died trying to take her own life.

According to reports gathered by StechiteGist Media, she left her phone on the table, and the phone kept ringing without answer, which prompted her colleagues to start looking for her.

During the search for her, it was discovered that one of the toilets was locked from behind, and it was forced open.
Upon sighting her on the floor of the toilet, the management of the bank concluded that she had committed suicide.

The incident has sparked reactions and discussions on social media platforms, with many expressing their condolences and sharing their thoughts on the tragic event.

She wrote what was described as a ‘suicide note’ in the said diary, it reads; “My decisions are wrong. My mind is messed up. The future doesn’t seem right at all; I see extreme hardship. I can’t bear the pain anymore.”

She wrote further, “I’m sorry, mom; I am sorry, dad. I’m sorry, Meme, Okwe, Toto Nazor, Chuchu, and Ifunanya. Lord, have mercy on me!”

Her family has been informed of the tragic incident.

She was survived by her parents and siblings.
